LCC discusses Dutch Experiment Gesloten Coffeeshopketen
The Legal Cannabis Coalition wants to thank Golden Tulip Hotel Leiden, for hosting our recent symposium on the ‘lessons learned’ about the Dutch Experiment Gesloten Coffeeshopketen. During the event, we greatly enjoyed the hospitality and care of the staff. The hotel was well prepared to host a small group of people safely and comfortably while working under Covid restrictions and safety measures.
The symposium was organized for members only, to share the experiences of various LCC members with the upcoming legalization of recreational cannabis in parts of The Netherlands. This legalization will take place in the form of a National experiment, where 10 Dutch municipalities will be allowed to buy and sell cannabis grown by a maximum of 10 domestic Licensed Producers. The Experiment is planned to take the next four years, after which full nationwide legalization may follow. The selection of the LPs by the Dutch Government has recently taken place, and many LCC members have been involved in the process. Some were involved in trying to obtain a license themselves, while others supported external parties by offering consulting services. As a group, the LCC has learned valuable lessons about the Dutch recreational cannabis market, that we can share with our customers in the form of knowledge, experience, and consulting.
